There were, once again, some shakeups at the top of the power rankings.
1. LA Rams (+1)
The Rams reclaim first place, after a few weeks of being outshined by some powerful offenses that have since come down to earth while the Rams remain at the top of their game.
2. AZ Cardinals (-1)
The Cardinals lost their first game of the year in a close matchup against the Packers, but injury woes and an overall odd game made us not drop Arizona too far in the rankings.
3. GB Packers (+3)
After unseating the NFC undefeated top seed AZ Cardinals in week 8 despite missing their top wideouts to Covid, the Packers jump 3 spots in the Sportsleaf rankings.
4. Buffalo Bills
The Bills came out of their bye and took care of business, beating Miami for the second time on the year and shaking off the close week 6 loss to Tennessee. They travel to Jacksonville and look to continue rolling the weaker opponents in the AFC.
5. Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys managed to take down Minnesota Sunday night even without QB Dak Prescott. The star is all healthy now and although CeeDee Lamb popped up on the injury report this week, the Cowboys have a pretty enviable road matchup against struggling Denver this week.
6. TB Buccaneers (-3)
Tampa dropped 3 spots after a close loss to the Saints, but their drop had more to do with how well Green Bay played over their loss. The Bucs are still one of "the teams" to beat in the NFC.
7. Baltimore Ravens (+2)
The Ravens had a bye week and jumped two spots. It happens.
8. LA Chargers (-1)
The Chargers came out of their bye and lost a hard-fought game to New England. LA is still a good team that has played some tough competition as of late. We aren't ready to free-fall them just yet.
9. Tennessee (+1)
The Titans finished up a sweep of divisional rival Indianapolis last weekend, but lost mammoth RB Derrick Henry to a broken foot in the process. Henry likely could return for the playoffs, and the Titans hope they have enough of a division lead to hold on behind future HOF back Adrian Peterson, freshly signed to the squad this week.
10. Cincinnati Bengals (-2)
The Bengals stunned the league when they upset Baltimore, but the New York Jets brought them back down to earth a little by beating them in New York week 8. The Bengals are a talented team with a defense that has been over-performing...if they can't stop the Mike-White led Jets, we hold our breath about as to how they will fare against Myles Garrett and the Browns this week.
