Derrick Henry, Jameis Winston and more.
Derrick Henry
Henry received an MRI Monday morning revealing a broken bone in his foot. Henry will have surgery as soon as Tuesday to repair the bone, but a timetable for return has not been offered. Henry is out indefinitely as of right now, with expectations of missing 6-8 weeks likely.
On the heels of this devastating news the Titans are left to scramble before the trade deadline and see if there is a viable backup they can acquire to hold down the fort in his stead. Names like Melvin Gordon III of Denver, who is on the last year of his deal with the Broncos.

Jameis Winston
The Saints QB suffered a torn ACL in the victory against Tampa Bay Sunday and will miss the remainder of the 2021 season. The Saints have backups Taysom Hill and Trevor Semien in play, but could opt to make a move before the trade deadline and bring in a veteran.
Calvin Ridley
Calvin Ridley has missed two games this season and released a statement Sunday revealing he would be stepping away from football for personal reasons. The absence is expected to be short but currently Ridley is out indefinitely. Russel Gage, fresh off IR, Cordarrelle Patterson, and rookie tight end Kyle Pitts look to get more involved in his stead.
Dak Prescott
The Dallas QB sat out Sunday's matchup against the Vikings, and backup Cooper Rush overcame some bumbles and led the team to victory. Prescott was "extremely close" to playing, according to reports, so his availability for week 9 seems all but certain.
Sam Darnold
Carolina's quarterback left Sunday's matchup due to a concussion suffered on a big hit late in. the fourth quarter. Darnold will have to clear concussion protocol before his availability for week 9 against New England is known.
Christian McCaffrey
The Carolina running back is "on schedule" to return from IR for the Panthers week 9 matchup against the Patriots. Chuba Hubbard has not been a game changer as his replacement, and Carolina is desperate to get McCaffrey back on the field but not enough to risk re-injury. I have tempered expectations for CMC to be available next week even if they do take him off IR.
Rob Gronkowski
Gronkowski suffered back spasms against the Saints in his first action since week 3. It is a fairly minor issue and Gronk should be available for week 9.
James Robinson
The Jacksonville back suffered a bruised heel Sunday and did not return to action, although head coach Urban did not comment on the severity of the injury after the game. Robinson is expected to miss some time, or at least be limited, for the near future.
