It's been a long journey but here we are folks. The 2021 Fantasy Super Bowl (unless your league is stupid and does their super bowl week 18). Naturally, when it's the biggest game of the year, decisions become much harder to make. Researching this article clarified some things for me and I feel much more confident setting my lineups than I did on Tuesday, so hopefully this helps you as well.
WR Must Starts
Typically we roll out 2 or 3 wide receivers each week, and if you have one of these guys they will definitely be in your starting lineup.
1. Cooper Kupp, LAR (@ BAL)
2. Deebo Samuel, SF (vs HOU)
3. Justin Jefferson, MIN (@ GB)
4. Devante Adams, GB (vs MIN)
5. AJ Brown, TEN (vs MIA)
6. Tyreek Hill, KC (@ CIN)
7. Antonio Brown, TB (@ NYJ)
8. Stefon Diggs, BUF (vs ATL)
9. Ja'Marr Chase, CIN (vs KC)
10. Tee Higgins, CIN (vs KC)
11. Jaylen Waddle, MIA (@ TEN)
12. Brandin Cooks, HOU (@ SF)
Power Plays
A lot of these guys are must-starts because of the number of receivers we start on a weekly basis, and in the championship round beggars can't be choosers. Some of them, like CeeDee Lamb and Keenan Allen, are huge producers on the year yet slumping, and don't the greatest matchups for week 17. Both should bounce back though, at least at a high enough rate to meet point expectations. Others, like Amon-Ra St. Brown and Allen Lazard, have been streaking yet we have to be wary of an understandable drop-off eventually and it could be...this week. They have favorable matchups however and especially in leagues where you don't have two amazing wideouts, these guys could save your season.
13. DK Metcalf, SEA (vs DET)
14. CeeDee Lamb, DAL (vs ARI)
15. Hunter Renfrow, LV (@ IND)
16. Diontae Johnson, PIT (vs CLE)
17. A. St. Brown, DET (@ SEA)
18. Darnell Mooney, CHI (vs NYG)
19. Amari Cooper, DAL (vs ARI)
20. Michael Pittman Jr, IND (vs LV)
21. Keenan Allen, LAC (vs DEN)
22. Van Jefferson, LAR (@ BAL)
23. Tyler Lockett, SEA (vs DET)
24. DeVonta Smith, PHI (@ WFT)
Weaker Plays
These wideouts either have tough matchups, or crowded opportunities. Since most of these guys won't see a lot of volume, their chance for fantasy relevancy lies primarily in a touchdown and that can be a dart throw considering their opponents.
Mike Williams, LAC (vs DEN)
Jakobi Meyers, NE (vs CAR)
AJ Green, ARI (@ DAL)
Allen Lazard, GB (vs MIN)
O. Beckham Jr, LAR (@ BAL)
Jerry Jeudy, DEN (@ LAC)
DJ Moore, CAR (@ NE)
Brandon Aiyuk, SF (vs HOU)
Russell Gage, ATL (@ BUF)
Marquise Brown, BAL (vs LAR)
Rondale Moore, ARI (@ DAL)
Kendrick Bourne, NE (vs CAR)
Robby Anderson, CAR (@ NE)
Chase Claypool, PIT (vs CLE)
Michael Gallup, DAL (vs ARI)
Tyler Boyd, CIN (vs KC)
