The Atlanta receiver has missed two games in 2021 due to personal reasons, and issued a statement Sunday about his absence.
Ridley was expected to have a career year after the Falcons traded veteran Julio Jones and drafted top prospect Kyle Pitts to play tight end. That hasn't come to fruition, with Ridley having 31 receptions for 281 yards and two touchdowns through the six games he has played.
Ridley did indicate he believes it will be a short-term absence.
